Our 10 Favorite Dispensary Websites

The quality of your dispensary website can be just as important as your physical retail space.

A good online storefront gives users a sense of what they can expect before entering your retail space for the first time or ordering weed online. Some dispensaries do it better than others, so we created a list of our favorites. To produce our final rankings, we looked at criteria like experience design, mobile friendliness, image quality, order integration, and more.

California Street Cannabis in the heart of San Francisco boasts a functional dispensary website that is beautifully designed and a breeze to navigate. Everything from the initial loading screen (complete with a cute little cable car animation) to the layout of the menu ordering space is clean and well-curated. We also love how they have a drop-down menu showing various BIPOC/equity-owned brands.

They don’t offer their own delivery service, but you can place an order online where you’ll get 10% off your first order.

Sweet Flower is a top Los Angeles dispensary brand with locations in West Hollywood, Studio City, DTLA, and Westwood. Of all the dispensaries on this list, Sweet Flower boasts the best overall branding of the bunch. Everything from the logo to the font choice and product images is on-point and you can tell the website was professionally designed.

One of the best aspects of the website is a hero video that plays upon opening and showcases a stylized clip of people enjoying Southern California activities. Something else that separates this website from others is a merch section where you can buy really cool Sweet Flower branded apparel.

3. Oregrown

Oregrown, as you may have guessed, is an Oregon dispensary brand with locations in Portland, Bend, and Cannon Beach. Picture the love child of a hip snowboard shop mixed with a dispensary and you’ll get Oregrown. They even list out all of their sponsored athletes on the site from various adventure sports backgrounds.

From the name to the hero image, to the design, the entire website fits the Oregon adventurous aesthetic. We love how they showcase their beautiful and outdoorsy Instagram feed as well as photos from the interiors of the dispensaries. If you love the brand as much as we do, you can even purchase some of their original branded apparel right on the site.

Sunnyside is a rec and medical dispensary chain run by the large Chicago cannabis company Cresco Labs. They have a large footprint of storefronts with multiple locations in Illinois as well as Arizona and Massachusetts.

Just like the name suggests, Sunnyside’s website is bright and inviting with a bright orange branded highlight color that pops off the page. Sunnyside’s dispensary site also places a large emphasis on their education portal where they showcase articles that teach new and seasoned users about the benefits and uses of cannabis.

Barbary Coast is a pioneer and mainstay in the San Francisco legal weed scene. They operate two locations, but Barbary Coast made the list for the website that accompanies their flagship dispensary and lounge location in the heart of SF. Upon opening the site, you’re greeted with an age-gate that shows up in front of a beautiful wide image of their lounge space.

What works best on the site is all of the images showcasing the interior of their location. This means potential customers get a great idea of what to expect before they make a visit.

The Farmacy is another up-scale dispensary with 3 California locations including Berkeley, Santa Ana, Santa Barbara. As the name suggests, The Farmacy looks to educate consumers on the life-enhancing benefits of cannabis and the sentiment of plants over pills.

The Farmacy website is clean and user-friendly with a beautifully integrated online ordering hub. With that being said, what makes this website stand out is its emphasis on highlighting community events and partnerships. All of this along with beautiful imagery is why the Farmacy lands on the list as one of our favorite dispensary websites.

screenshot from coastal dispensary website

Coastal Dispensary operates 12 different dispensaries throughout Northern and Southern California. According to the site, the first Coastal location opened in Santa Barbara with the goal of creating a dispensary brand that embodies the California spirit of freedom. We think they achieved that with a bright website featuring a sunny yellow brand color.

Just like the other dispensaries on this list, Coastal does a great job of fully integrating their online ordering and delivery menu.

screenshot from lightshade website

Lightshade owns and operates 9 dispensaries throughout the Denver Metro area. Their website is easy on the eyes with a muted turquoise color palette and plenty of quality curated images. We also like how they feature their content right on the front page with previews of blog posts, products, consumer spotlights, recipes, and more.

Our favorite section of the website is the Corporate Social Responsibility page that showcases its mission statement, local partnerships, and plenty more information on how they give back to the Denver community.

Essence is a beautiful dispensary with a few different locations throughout Las Vegas, Nevada. We believe they deserve a spot on the list for their understated yet elegant website design complete with carefully curated imagery. This is one dispensary you won’t want to miss on your next trip to Vegas.
